Give it up
Blood, bone and breath. That’s what’s important.
Your bones are your relevant ancestors, back when their attachment to the land was relevant. So maybe you’ve got the bones of a Pict. Or a Northman.
Maybe your grandparents spoke fiercely of the love of their country and you want to start there: Italian or Hungarian or French. More shallow but don’t deny love.
Your blood is where you were born, its influences on you over time. Be thankful for that. Nurture your birthplace and make it healthy, even if you left it long ago.
Your breath is where you choose to make your home, and the active relationships you maintain with the forces in the environment.
